Named after the famous hunter and naturalist Jim Corbett, the Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India. Situated in Nainital district of Uttrakhand the park is a protected area and is a bird watcher’s paradise. The verdant environs of the park are a natural abode of more than 600 species of birds.
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On arrival at Delhi International Airport guests will be welcomed by our representative with a scrupulously constructed Bird Watching Tour Package I. Escorted by our representative guests then will check- into a hotel previously booked as planned under your itinerary for Bird Watching in India. Guests will spend the rest of the day in the hotel relaxing which will revitalize them for an eventful journey ahead.
Day 02: Delhi- Nainital- Pangot

On this morning a sumptuous meal at hotel will kick start the illustrious journey to Pangot. This journey will traverse you through one of the world’s most spectacular mountain roads of the Kumaon Hills leading to the scenic beauty of the ‘lake city’- Nainital. At Nainital the afternoon will be marked for beginning of the birding tour along with a tourist guide.
The journey may also provide an opportunity to enjoy the eternal sight of the various endangered birds such as blue whistling thrush, red- billed blue magpie, blue- capped redstart, rusty- tailed fly catcher, grey- backed shrike, yellow- breasted green finch etc. Guests then will reach Pangot where they will be accommodated at a Jungle lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 03: At Pangot
As planned under this Birding Package Tour at Pangot your bird watching will resume at various sights such as Baggar, Timla Pani, Cheena Peak and Nainital. On this day post breakfast guests will be escorted to these sights with a naturalist to catch the awe- inspiring sight of these delicate creatures such as- slaty- headed and red- breasted parakeet, grey bushchat, long- tailed and grey- backed shrike, common kestrel, besra, chestnut- bellied rock thrush etc. This memorable day will be concluded with a drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Pangot- Sat Tal- Pangot
Post breakfast enjoy a morning drive to Sat Tal the natural habitat of beauteous birds is every bird watcher’s paradise. Guests will enjoy an entire day at Sat Tal viewing numerous species such as white- crested laughing thrush, rufous- gorgeted fly catcher, red- billed leothrix, Siberian rubythroat, rock bunting etc. Enjoy the pictorial vistas of the place and look for rufous- breasted accentor, greater yellow- napped flameback, speckled piculet etc. Guests will then return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Pangot- Corbett National Park
On the morning of this day guests will retreat to the next destination Corbett National Park. The journey will be an eventful one as the guests will enjoy a morning shopping arcade followed by an en- route visit to Mongoli Valley for a quick bird watching will be scheduled.
The journey will be put to a halt at Corbett National Park where guests will be accommodated in a forest lodge which will provide them a closer look of the place. The sight of the lush green forest with its numerous flora and fauna will chase away all the fatigue of the journey as the guests retire to their hotel for the night’s stay.
Day 06: At Corbett National Park
Post breakfast on this day the bird watching in Corbett will be held. Guests on this day will drive to Dhikala tourism zone early in the morning. The afternoon will be spent exploring the place and enjoying a bird watching walk in the park. The lower jungle track along the Ramganga River is an award winning site for bird watching as it is a hub of various water birds such as river lapwings, waders, mergansers etc.
Pay a visit to the grasslands which is another centre of various species such as long- tailed nightjar, jungle owlet, spot- bellied owl, common stonechat, black francolin, purple and crimson sunbird, golden- fronted and orange- bellied leaf bird, black shouldered kite, hen harrier, changeable hawk- eagle, chestnut- tailed starling etc. Return to the Dhikala forest lodge for relaxation.
Day 07: At Corbett National Park
The bird watching tour package then will provide a royal elephant safari to guests through the mesmerizing grasslands and dense forests. Breakfast then will be served back at hotel which will be followed by a trip to the watchtower which gives a splendid view of the verdant environs of the place. Guests then will visit some of the best birding areas of Dhikala such as Sambhar Road and Khinanauli to see slaty woodpecker, great hornbill, puff- throated babbler, white- rumped shama, pallas’s fish eagle etc. Return back to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 08: At Corbett National Park
Explore the scenic view of the Kumeria River for tawny and brown fish owl. Other species that is possible to be seen are Asian barred owlet, plumbeous redstart, brown dipper, crested tree swift, spangled drongo, blue bearded bee- eater etc. Afternoon will be spent enjoying birding near Garjia temple at River Kosi and thereafter return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 09: Corbett- Delhi
This day of your Bird Watching Tour Package will be planned for a morning drive to Jhirna Range Forest post breakfast. Escorted by our representative guests will drive back to Delhi in the afternoon and will check into a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Delhi- Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary- Delhi- Departure
On the final day of your Bird Watching Tour Package the morning will be marked for a drive to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary. Guests will enjoy half day excursion in the sanctuary enjoying bird watching. The evening drive to Delhi International Airport will then take place from where guests will board the flight back home. .
